Zach Handley (1st year)
Head Coach

Zach Handley begins his 1st season as the head man of the Scottie Boys Basketball program.  He is a 2014 graduate of Malta High School and comes to the Scotties after seven years as an assistant coach for his alma-mater under Hall of Fame Coach, Dave Costin.
Coach Handley enjoyed a decorated playing career for the Mustangs; leading the team to Back to Back Class B State Championships in 2012 and 2013.  As a Senior in 2014, he led the Mustangs to another State Trophy, with a 3rd Place finish.  At the conclusion of his final season he was awarded individual Class B All-State and Tribune Super State while also being selected to play in the Billings Hotel Senior Classic and the prestigous Hi-Line Invitational Tournament (HIT).
He now lives in Glasgow with his wife Tessa and their two boys; Luka and Ledger.


Kaden Bedwell (1st year)
Junior Varsity Coach

Kaden Bedwell joins the Scottie Boys Basketball program as an assistant coach for his first season.  A 2013 graduate of Malta High School, Kaden was a standout multi-sport athlete who excelled in football, basketball, and track & field.  As a key member of the Malta Mustangs basketball team, he played an instrumental role in securing back-to-back Class B State Championships in 2012 and 2013.  On the Football field, he was the team’s leading receiver during the Mustangs’ consecutive Class B State Championship appearances in 2011 and 2012.  His outstanding performance earned him All-State honors, and he was selected to play in the 2013 Shrine Game.  In track & field, Kaden holds the Malta High School record in the Javelin and also earned All-State honors.
Off the field, Coach Bedwell works as an engineer with Interstate Engineering. He resides in Glasgow with his wife, Danielle, and their two children, Kyler and Kinsley.

Alec Boland (1st year)
C Squad Coach

Alec joins the Boys Basketball staff at Glasgow High School ahead of the 2025-26 season.  He is a 2020 graduate of Glasgow High School where he was a 3-sport athlete for the Scotties.  He shined on the Football field as a 2-year starter at Quarterback while earning All-Conference honors and being selected to play in the Class B All Star Game.  He also played four years on the Basketball court and ran four years on the Track which earned him the highly sought after “Golden Scottie” Award in the spring of 2020.

Jason Thibault (2nd year)
Volunteer Assistant Coach

Jason Thibault begins his second year on the Scottie Basketball Staff ahead of the 2025-26 season. He is a 2015 graduate of Glasgow High School. Jason was a 3-sport athlete for the Scotties where he earned All-State honors in both Football and Basketball. Jason led the Scottie Football program to the State Semifinals in 2013 and the State Quarterfinals in 2014 as the team’s starting Quarterback.  In Basketball, he helped lead the Scottie Boys to the State B Basketball tournament in 2014.  He would go on to play 1 year of college baseball at Montana State University-Billings before transferring to Dickinson State University in North Dakota. With the Blue Hawks, Jason played three seasons of college football as a Defensive Back.  During the fall, Jason serves as an assistant coach on the Scottie Football staff.  He currently lives in Glasgow with his fiance’ Whitney and their daughter Pryar.  He is employed as a Loan Officer with Independence Bank.
