Girls Golf

Todd Truscott (7th Year)
Head Coach

Coach T begins his 7th season as the Head Coach of the Scottie Golf program.  Over the past five seasons, Mr. Truscott has elevated the Boys and the Girls programs to the top of the Northern B Division.  His Boys team’s claimed Divisional Team titles in 2023 and 2024 and the Girls claimed the Northern B Championship in 2024.
Todd is a 2005 graduate of Glasgow High School and before returning to his alma-mater he led the Conrad High School Golf teams to new heights.  In eight years as their Head Coach, his Cowboy/Cowgirl teams were extremely succesful in the Northern B and the Boys topped out with a 2nd Place finish at the State B Meet in 2019.
As an athlete, Todd was a 2-time Class B All State Golfer for the Scotties; finishing 9th in 2004 and 10th in 2005.  After High School, he went on to a 4-year College Golf career at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.
Todd lives in Glasgow and is employed as the 6-12 Band Teacher for Glasgow Schools.  His Pep Band is consistently one of the best in all of Class B.         

Joel Smith (8th Year)
Assistant Coach

Coach Smith is a veteran on the Scottie Golf staff.  He has been the lead assistant throughout Coach Truscott’s tenure and also served as an assistant under previous Head Coach Dave Riggin.  Mr. Smith is an Opheim native where he was a multi-sport athlete for the Vikings.  Prior to his time with Scottie Golf, he served as a longtime assistant in the Scottie Softball program under Coach Mark Falcon.   
Joel works at the Glasgow Middle School as the building’s Library/Media Specialist and as a 6th Grade Health Enhancement Instructor.  He lives in Glasgow with his wife Lara and together they raise two kids; Riley and Annika.  Joel is a veteran Basketball MOA with numerous MHSA postseason tournaments on his resume.  Mr. Smith will occasionally drive activity and route bus for the District.  When he isn’t Golfing he enjoys Hunting, Fishing, and Slow Pitch Softball.
